Ironworks
The steel structure of the Blackfriars Railway Bridge stretches up and over us making some impressive lines.
Under Blackfriars
Another visit to Blackfriars Station - but this time beneath the railway bridge and using the 10-stop filter to get a 78 second exposure. Still a bit much detail in the river, and sadly the sky wasn't quite as dramatic as it could have been.
Railings
A shot aped from Stuart who spent ages shooting this railing at different angles with people blurred in the background. It's a groovy effect.
Motion on the Bridge
The Millennium Bridge moves a lot, but here it is relatively steady which allowed me to get a 1sec shot with blurry people. Shame about the dull sky.
Cabot Square
The heart of Docklands, Canary Wharf looms high above the small shopping mall as people wander around the Square on their lunch breaks from the office.
The Twelfth Clock
There are six clocks in the Reuters Plaza, all double sided - so each of the numbers on the clock face is represented somewhere within the plaza. Canary Wharf provides the high-rise backdrop for this shot.
15:47
Clocks 11 and 1 stand tall in Reuters Plaza.
Time Flies
Commuters bustle through the Reuters Plaza at the bottom of Canary Wharf heading towards the Underground Station. Scored 17/20 in BCC POTY 2015 R6 - Slow.
Boris Bikes
Looking through Flickr it's amazing to see just how much free advertising Barclays gets from these bikes. Two rows of bikes were parked up at the foot of Canary Wharf.
Going Underground
The traditional Underground sign stands tall in front of one of the many glass-fronted skyscrapers in Docklands.
Docklands Light Railway
The modern-day tube service crosses the bridge over the West India Millwall Docks to Heron Quays Station, the Shard and other tall buildings back in the City are visible on the horizon.
Tall
One of the skyscrapers on Bank Street, lots of glass and metalwork rising high into the skies.
Between Shadows
People walking along the promenade beneath the office blocks in Docklands. Sunshine in the late afternoon provides some nice shadows from the pillars.
Subterranean
From the high-rise buildings of Docklands you descend the escalators into a large underground station. Looks almost spaceship like to me.
The Train Now Arriving
The Jubilee Line how has shielded platforms, presumably to stop jumpers onto the track - but it also seems to make getting onto the train more organised. I make this opinion after spending 15mins trying to get a motion blurred train and stationary people - this was as close as I got. Nice bum sir.
High Speed Wheel
This is how far the London Eye moves in 30 seconds...!
Sunset Spin
The shadows are slowly rising up the County Hall as the London Eye spins wildly alongside the Thames. I say wildly, this was a 2:45 shot!
The Last Glow of Sunlight
The sun has dipped below the horizon now behind Big Ben and Portcullis House, just the last embers of daylight remaining.
Look Twice
Spotted on Westminster Bridge - the title says it all...!
With the sun dipping below the sky Westminster starts to glow and buses become visible whizzing across the bridge. Clear skies at the end of the day - typical.
Curves to St George's Wharf
Standing on Westminster Bridge looking along the Thames towards St George's Wharf Tower, the lights on the promenade made a nice curving line in the water.
